FlashBoot | OEM Version of Windows 10 In Dual-Boot Configurations

If you recently bought a laptop or tablet with preinstalled Windows 10, then disk C: occupies all available space on internal HDD or SSD, and also you don’t have a Windows Setup Media. That’s why you can’t just install another operating system (for example, Linux or Windows 7) alongside of Windows. And should you decide to install another operating system simply by overwriting your pre-installed OS, then you lose your OEM license for Windows 10.

Using FlashBoot, you can reinstall Windows 10 to the same PC in such way that disk C: will have a smaller final capacity. And, most importantly, you don’t need Windows Setup Media for that. Reinstallation is performed by cloning your preinstalled OS to USB thumbdrive, then by installing original OS from that USB thumbdrive.

After Windows reinstallation process is complete, HDD or SSD of your notebook or tablet PC will have enough of unpartitioned space to install another OS in dual-boot configuration. Along the process, Windows 10 will fully retain its state, so it won’t require reactivation or different product key.

FlashBoot Bootable Clones

FlashBoot enables you to install an instance of the Windows OS onto a USB thumbdrive or USB HDD, empowering you to boot any PC from that device. Imagine you’ll be able to walk about with a copy of your computer in your pocket, ready to go under any circumstance. Need your favorite app, document, game, or browser when you’re sitting in front of a strange computer? Just break out your USB thumbdrive prepared with FlashBoot!

FlashBoot Free can install fresh copy of Windows to USB thumbdrive, and FlashBoot Pro can create a bootable clone of your existing Windows installation (including apps, settings, documents, games, browsers etc).

This feature is particularly useful for travellers (who want to save time on reinstalling apps) and as live backup copy (which will be of good use in the case of next ransomware virus attack, failed Windows update, or accidently deleted file).

Also bootable clones are very useful for people who need second OS environment for privacy or other purpose (e.g. virus-free and safe online banking).

Existing files will be compressed, so usually you need smaller capacity USB thumbdrive than your disk C:. Typical compression ratio is 35-45%. Also you can choose which files and folders are to be excluded from the clone. If you have large enough USB storage device, then you can leave all files and folders included.

FlashBoot | Install Windows 7 to a New Laptop or New PC

If you dislike Windows 10 because you don’t want forced updates with untimely reboots, or if you don’t want privacy intrusions like telemetry which can’t be disabled, then way to go is to return to Windows 7.

But hardware marches on, and older operating systems hardly can play catch-up. If you try to install Windows 7 on the modern laptop, you even won’t get past the first screen: lack of USB 3.0 support makes mouse, keyboard and source USB thumbdrive inaccessible to Windows 7 setup.

With the advent of FlashBoot, you can install Windows 7 to new laptop or new PC with no hassles. After Windows 7 has been supercharged with necessary drivers by FlashBoot, it will support USB 3.0, NVMe, RAID, and any other modern hardware, so you can easily and quickly install Windows 7 to any new PC or laptop, including Skylake, Kabylake and Ryzen platforms.

For your convenience, FlashBoot already contains a large prepackaged set of builtin drivers for most popular hardware. Additionally, FlashBoot can integrate any user-supplied drivers.
